Stephany is an American artist and writer who has been a member of DA for 7 years. She is best known for her role as a dedicated literature CV, but she is so much more than that. Long before she signed on to be a volunteer, Stephany had been working hard to deliver the largest compilation of news from all around the lit community on a weekly basis. Her undying efforts have made her a shining example for her fellow writers around the globe!
On a personal note, Stephany is described by her friends as a warm, friendly and funny deviant who "gives the best hugs." It would be a challenge to find a person who gives more time, effort and love to the community than IrrevocableFate
Makeshift SymphonyHe tied piano strings to his heart,
so that every time it beat
it didn't sound so empty inside.
But the music in his heart
couldnt permeate the hollow air
as the metronome kept time for the clock.
One, two. One, two.
Reedy notes plummeted from his lips as
he made me pluck out Tchaikovsky and Bach
when all I wanted to play was twinkletwinklelittlestar.
"I'm just a little girl."
My fingers tripped and stumbled
and I know that I could never play
as well as he needed me to;
I could never keep his notes
from slipping off the page.
White and black sideswiped my fingers,
as I struck one chord too many.
"I've always wanted to make you proud, papa.
But the past is flightless swans and sometimes
we only get a glimpse of what was there."
He shouldve left the past where it belongs,
because everything was far too black-and-white
in his eyes, and I was never good enough
to replace everything that was missing
in his hollow heart.
I Love You MotherI watched them smile happily at each other; I stood wide eyed at the fluidity of their movements: bending with each gust of wind and the sun warming their leaves, making them shift slightly. I kept my distance as I observed them, they tracked the sun with a hidden compass and never straying from their designated path. Each day they would lift their heads to the sky and gaze longingly at the pale golden rays blazing above them.
They would twinkle little melodies each time the sun would break from a stray cloud and shine even brighter. Their green hands would fold downward when the rain fell from the above, like tiny, clear pearls dropping delicately to the ground. I'd watch in amazement at the long complicated dances they would perform for their only audience, the Sun.
With their leafy tendrils they would carry loved ones high in the air, illuminated by the sheer joy the sunlight brought them. Raising their voices in unison they sang praise for the shower of golden rays that woke them e

Julian is a digital artist and writer from the UK. He has only been a member of DA for one short year but has already made a positive impact, primarily through his work at dAy-Brighteners
. The focus of the group is to bring joy to your day through kind comments, helpful critiques, and blogs with inspirational words and cute pictures.
In addition to his work with groups, Julian continuously supports his fellow artists through regular, bi-weekly journal features, suggesting daily deviations and performing random acts of kindness. It is our pleasure to award this helpful and supportive deviant with a well deserved pair of wings!
Along Came an AngelShe signed her name next to selfish,
and told him he had a heart of gold.
But behind the scenes and cheery talks
they were both just as damaged and hurt
with so many secrets floating, untold.
He had his monsters to battle,
she didn't stand in a better place
yet she pulled him up to his feet,
and glued all these cracks in his soul.
She was a strong lady,
a hidden gem among many rocks,
she shared her dreams and laughter
but sometimes she cried on his shoulder
and pointed at the demons,
who forced a lump to build in her throat.
She always insisted he was being sweet
when he spoke about her majestic allure
truth be told, he never understood
how can someone go through such hurt
and still have enough power to stand tall.
He learned the answer later on though,
when she took his breath in awe
and taught him how to smile anew
Along came an angel, he'd joke
yet for her, he swore a vow
to never let go, until death takes its dues.

Despite her young age and the fact that she has spent only one year on Deviant Art so far, it’s conspicuous how meiyue is determined to make this community a better place. She is incredibly kind, willing to help out friends and strangers alike, and is showing her appreciation to her followers in various ways. Annie has improved a lot during this short period, and is always willing to share her knowledge. She also takes the time to visit pages of other deviants, give out llamas, or leave constructive criticism whenever she has anything helpful to say, or whenever an honest opinion is needed. She also holds giveaways for her watchers, even though she’s saving up points for a premium membership. Annie is also an enthusiastic suggester of daily deviations. Last but not least, she found a special way to draw attention to underexposed artists. She has a custom box on her page, where she features unnoticed artists, which she updates once a week – the featuring offer is completely free. She is also a crew member of the group; ProjectPorkchop
which also helps unpopular artists. I think her generosity toward other people can’t go unnoticed – she has befriended and brightened the spirits of many, and is always willing to spread a little love around.

It’s hardly possible to find anyone in the community of writers who’s unaware of the name BeccaJS
. Becca has been a Deviant Art member since 2005. She tries to convey positivity, love, fun, but also deep and emotional messages in her wonderful writings. She has also done an incredible amount for the community. Using CRLiterature
as a hub, she pushed to have a central place where all writers can go and find out what's going on around dA when it comes to Literature. She is a founder of writing-workshop, and runs quality shops there, helping out both new and experienced writers to better themselves and explore new genres and forms they have never tried before. She is also willing to help out newbies, or anyone who may have a question, and is also often found in different chat rooms. Becca is always eager to leave constructive criticism – she’s giving away critiques and holds an event during the Christmas season, called Critmas, where she encourages other artists to do the same. Deviant Art would never be the same without her – as told, "Becca is a name in the Literature Community that is synonymous with awesome

Rapture in the ShadowsThose were not the clangs of distant church bells. The hollow echo drained of its passion was nothing more than a steel pipe swinging overhead on its lonely chains, rocking in the breeze and hitting a crumbled wall. Sombre stacks of dirt piled below once hopeful they would become the foundation of new life, but they sagged tired, trapped in their mound. A fortress of iron fencing guarded this construction site with all its might. Not a soul had entered here in weeks and even the hopeless pigeons of the city knew to stay away from such tainted grounds.
A homeless man with his blue sleeping bag roamed the perimeter; babbling about the shadows beyond the gates. The police had questioned him many weeks ago, but his answers were more absurd than a theatre filled with nonsense. He clutched his sleeping bag as comfort as he feared whatever lingered beyond the gates. Whether he'd witnessed the truth of those shadows, nobody could answer.
